Joshua 1:9

Today begins our new beginning. Dale left early this morning for California to do his training for 3 weeks before heading off to Kuwait for 8 long months. I wanted to start a new blog to help record this time apart... to give the kids a chance to write and learn how to post. Possibly even get Dale to add some of his thoughts and photos on his end. We'll see how this goes. Dale is new to uploading photos with his new camera. I may have to ease him slowly into the blogging world!

The name of this blog is STRONG & COURAGEOUS... taken from Daniella's favorite bible verse found in Joshua 1:9

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your GOD will be with you wherever you go."

This is the verse that was read to Dani when she was feeling sad and homesick at camp... and it will definitely carry us all through the next 8 months apart. How blessed I am to have 4 amazing children!

... and our theme for our family to live by is the boys favorite song that they all learned at Mt. Aetna Camp this summer and it's EVERYDAY by Hillsong. The boys even learned how to play it on the ukulele's! It's a great song.

EVERYDAY
What to say Lord it's
You who gave me life and I
Can't explain just how
Much You mean to me now
that You have saved me Lord
I give all that I am to You
That everyday I could
Be a light that shines Your name

Everyday Lord I'll
Learn to stand upon Your word
And I pray that I
I might come to know You more
That You would guide me
In every single step I take and
everyday I can
Be Your light unto the world

Everyday, It's You I'll live for
Everyday, I'll follow after You
Everyday, I'll walk with You my Lord

It's You I live for everyday
It's You I live for everyday
It's You I live for everyday
