Seeking Higher Ground

April . May . June . July . and now August...

Time just passed us by... and we got busy being TOGETHER!  Living life and enjoying each other and annoying each other... hahaha!  We're family... everything is mixed together... the good, the bad... and the growth of it all - and becoming stronger!

The week Dale arrived back on GUAM... our little island had a Tsunami warning/scare.    In times of trouble (on an island)... everyone was urged to seek higher ground.  Dale & I were actually on our way up the hill to our CO's (Commanding Officer, his boss) house, in a gated-guarded community.  Because of the Tsunami warnings - the gate guard was instructed NOT to let anyone pass through the gates.  Dale & I were caught in the traffic of those seeking higher ground... and at the gates unable to get in.  It was a helpless feeling, really.

Getting caught in the traffic was frustrating.  Not being able to get through the gate was frustrating.  Not being with our kids during a Tsunami warning was frustrating.  Thankfully the warning was just that... a warning.  There was no Tsunami coming our way.

There's definitely something BIGGER than a Tsunami coming our way... and yes, we should always be seeking HIGHER GROUND... and there needs to be urgency in our method of getting "there".  If you knock at the "gates" the door will be opened!  ASK.  SEEK.  KNOCK!

Matthew 7:7

7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
Beautiful calm waters  - the day after the Tsunami warmings!
